Replacement plastic steam head with stainless steel front (without hose)

Replacement set for defective steam head Jiffy Steamer J-2, J-2000, J-4000, easy to assemble

If the Jiffy Steamer steam head is defective, you can replace the steam head with this set. (Caution! Defective steam head increase the risk of scalding).

To assemble, switch on the steamer briefly so that the hose warms up and becomes pliable.

Now use a screwdriver or similar to push the handle apart and remove it. Pull the nozzle out of the hose.

Take the new steam head out of the box and push it into the hose as far as it will go.

Then clamp the underside of the handle (on the left in the picture) onto the hose.

Now press the upper handle together with the lower handle over the hose.

Done!

Alternatively, you could also replace the plastic steam head with a pure plastic nozzle.

Important note about the hose:

If the hose is quite inflexible when it has cooled down and the material feels very firm, then this is a sign that the material is getting old and you should replace the whole hose with steam head, just to be on the safe side. This is because the hose no longer has the elasticity and stability to hold the new steam head securely in the hose.
