Why Jiffy Steamer and what advantages do the professional steamers have:
The first Jiffy Steamers were developed in the USA 85 years ago. The use of high-quality materials and handcrafted production make the steamers robust and durable.
This means that a high steam output is always available, even with heavy use and appropriate care over a longer period of time.
The Jiffy Steamer can be used for a variety of tasks, ranging from the care of fine garments to industrial use. The Jiffy Steamer is up to five times faster than ironing without the hassle of adjusting the temperature. It can be used safely and effectively on both natural and synthetic materials. The Jiffy Steamer's many accessories allow you to perform a variety of tasks using the power of steam, including steaming hats, carpets, cars, upholstered furniture and more.
In addition, our customers appreciate the Jiffy Steamer Deutschland GmbH company as a long-term point of contact and our service offering.
Which Jiffy Steamer is right for my needs?
You want to buy a Jiffy Steamer, but which model suits your needs?
Jiffy Steamer J-2000, optionally with plastic nozzle, metal nozzle (J-2000M) or S-nozzle (plastic nozzle with stainless steel front):
This steamer is our best seller. It has been used successfully in almost all areas for years.
Areas of application:
Individual devices in small to medium-sized stores and with several devices in large stores in the fashion industry. Also in showrooms, photo studios, photo and film production, museums, theatres, styling, costume departments, at home and in many other areas.
Jiffy Steamer J-2 (plastic nozzle, J-2M (metal nozzle), J-2S (plastic nozzle with stainless steel front)
: Can be used in exactly the same way as the Jiffy Steamer J-2000 mentioned above.
Difference between the Jiffy Steamer J-2000 and Jiffy Steamer J-2
The two devices do not differ in performance. Only the J-2 has a steam duration that is about 30 minutes longer per bottle filling due to its slightly larger bottle.
This does not really matter if you use it daily, because the water tanks of the J-2000 and the J-2 can be refilled quickly and the devices are ready for use again in about 1 minute.
The Jiffy Steamer J-2 is the older model, but it is still being produced and sold. So the decision is more a matter of taste. Customers report that when the J-2 is moved, the water bottle with only a little water can fall out more easily from the steamer. But that usually doesn't matter either, because the water bottle is quite sturdy.
Jiffy Steamer J-4000, J-4000M or J-4000 S - nozzle (plastic nozzle with stainless steel front)
Our Jiffy Steamers J-4000 are industrial steamers. This means that these steamers are often used in the returns department of large fashion companies. The devices are also used in large distribution centres and in online fashion retail. The J-4000 is not as popular for use in brick-and-mortar stores because it takes 20 minutes to heat up, making it less mobile than the J-2000 steamer.
Jiffy Steamer with i- multi-nozzles:
The Jiffy Steamer J-2000i, J-2i, J-4000i are our steamers for universal use for removing wrinkles from all types of textiles. The J-2000i, for example, is popular in theatres, museums and for domestic use due to the different nozzles. However, you should always remember to change the nozzle for the different applications, otherwise there is no point in using these devices.
What do you need an i-Multisteamer for:
1. the normal metal nozzle: clothing, upholstery,
2. wide carpet nozzle: curtains, drapes, mattresses, carpets, large areas of fabric.
3. pipe nozzle: for surfaces that are difficult to steam on clothes (e.g. elaborate wedding dresses) or upholstered furniture. Also very suitable for hats and hairpieces.
4. the attachment brush for the pipe nozzle is ideal for cleaning surfaces that are difficult to reach (e.g. corners of window frames, tiles, etc.)
Jiffy Steamer J-4000D, J-4000DM, J-4000Di, J-4000DS (plastic nozzle with stainless steel front)
Applications: interior decorators, tent manufacturers, wedding dresses and evening wear
These steamers have a longer hose so that they can be used at greater heights and on large surfaces. Long dresses and skirts as well as evening wear can also be processed with these steamers. But: normal work as with the above mentioned steamers (J-2000, J-2) is not suitable with these special steamers. Why not? The longer hose would quickly sag when steaming normal clothing. This quickly causes condensation in the hose, which would be pushed upwards with the incoming steam. This causes hot water to come out of the nozzle and drip onto the fabric, which could cause scalding.
Special steamers J-1, J-4000H, J-2000W, J-4000W, J-2000SBR, J-4000SBR
These steamers are prepared for the treatment of all types of huts. The Jiffy Steamer J-1 is particularly appreciated as a successor to the Riefenstahl hat steamer. The J-4000H has the same function but a longer heat-up time with a standby function. The J-2000W and J-4000W steamers are mainly used for wigs, synthetic hair and temporary hair designs. But they are also suitable for removing film in the automotive industry.
The J-2000SBR and J-4000SBR steamers are designed for treating shoes.
They can neutralise odours, widen shoes and make them more pliable. High-performance sports shoe retailers appreciate this type of steamer.
We always recommend using our protective gloves to guard against scalding from hot water or steam when using any of the steamers.
The differences between the plastic nozzle, metal nozzle and the new ‘S’ nozzle (plastic nozzle with stainless steel front)
The plastic nozzle is particularly advantageous for frequent users because it is much lighter than the metal nozzle.
The new ‘S’ nozzle is also much lighter than the metal nozzle, but still has the properties of a metal nozzle due to the stainless steel front.
The metal nozzle with wooden handle is heavier but virtually indestructible. Only the wooden handle can wear out, but a replacement part is available for this.
Care of Jiffy Steamers
Of course, steamers also need to be cleaned from time to time. In particular, the black overflow area in the steamer
(models J-2000 and J-2) should always be kept clean. Just rinse with water and/or wipe out with a cloth.

If you have not used a steamer for a long time, it is recommended that you remove the water tank and pour out the remaining water from the steamer. This prevents water from evaporating in the steamer and also from calcifying.
The water in the bottle should also be removed and refilled each time before the steamer is used. This will prevent the formation of algae in the water tank.
Little or no steam Model J-2000, J-1, J-2
The device is switched on, the green light in the switch is lit, but only a little steam comes out of the nozzle, or none at all.
Your appliance is calcified. Limescale residue in the inlet prevents sufficient water from flowing into the boiler.
Therefore, only a small amount or, in the case of heavy soiling/calcification,
no water is heated and therefore no steam is produced.
The following procedure is recommended: Clean the steamer with our special descaling agent or a commercially available liquid descaling agent,
e.g. for coffee machines.
If there is a lot of limescale, please repeat the cleaning process several times.
For stubborn dirt, please allow the descaling agent to work for a longer period of time.
If there is no improvement after intensive cleaning,
the boiler is completely calcified and the steamer needs to be overhauled.
Recommendation: Descale the steamer regularly with our Jiffy Steamer Liquid Descaler.
Remove all water from the steamer when not in use to slow down the calcification process.
Note: No warranty is provided for calcification.
The J-1/J-2/J-2000 models are suitable for daily continuous use,
but they must be descaled regularly on a weekly basis.
For details of the descaling process, please refer to the operating instructions supplied or see below.
Care tip: pole set
To avoid jamming at the poles, we recommend lubricating the threads on the poles with a little grease or Vaseline.
Be careful to use only a little and to
ensure that as little of the grease/Vaseline as possible remains on the poles,
to avoid contaminating the textiles.
Care instructions for the water tank
We recommend filling the water tank with fresh water before use,
as this will prevent the formation of algae in the tank (greenish colouring of the water).
However, if the inside of the water tank becomes dirty,
it is possible to clean the tank with a little washing-up liquid and a bottle brush.
Be sure to rinse well afterwards.

To maintain maximum steam output, we recommend the following cleaning procedure as a regular maintenance measure.
This maintenance should be carried out at least every 3-6 months, or more often depending on the level of use. This increases the service life of the steamer. If the steamer is not operational after the descaling process, it is completely calcified. If the steamer is still
1. Unplug your steamer .
2. Remove the hose connection at the brass coupling with a wrench and remove the water bottle. Remove the remaining water from the appliance (see illustration).
3. To clean the water inlet and boiler of your steamer, we recommend using Jiffy Steamer Special Descaler. ( 500 ml bottle order here )
4. Pour the cleaning solution (approx. 125 ml or 1 cup) into the black area of the steamer. Leave the liquid there for at least 2-3 hours. As long as there is descaling agent in the steamer, do not steam under any circumstances. So leave the device switched off. The descaling agent can cause irritation.
5. Then remove the cleaner by gently shaking it back and forth out of the steamer, preferably over a sink or bucket. (see illustration)
6. Now pour fresh water several times (at least 3 times) in succession into the black area, tilting it back and forth gently and then pouring it out.
7. Repeat this process until only clear water comes out.
